What are my son/daughter's grades? And why can't I get them over the phone, I pay the bills?

Your child's grades are private information that is protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and may only be obtained by the written release of your child.

How do I order my son/daughter's transcript?

Your child needs to request his or her transcript in writing; his or her signature is required. Ordering information and the transcript request form is available online.

How do I get proof of enrollment for my son/daughter's loans or insurance?

All enrollment verfications are provided by the National Student Clearinghouse and are available to students anytime by logging into VandalWeb. Enrollment verifications are available approximately one week after the beginning of the semester; enrollment cannot be verified for future semesters.

How do I pay for my son/daughter's registration fees? How much is it?

Registration fees and payments are handled through the Student Accounts Office. You may contact them directly by phone at (208) 885-7447 or by email to acctrec@uidaho.edu. Student account information can also be accessed through VandalWeb.

How do I find out about son/daughter's housing arrangements?

On-campus housing is handled through the University Residences Office. They will be able to answer specific questions; contact them by phone at (208) 885-6571 or by email at housing@uidaho.edu.

How can I get a copy of my son/daughter's course schedule?

Your child's course schedule is protected information that can only be released with his or her written consent. If you have an emergency, contact the Dean of Students Office at (208) 885-6757 and they will see that your child receives a message as soon as possible.

What is my son/daughter's PIN? I am helping him/her register because he/she is not here right now.

The PIN (Personal Identification Number) is protected information as it is your child's security to their academic and financial records and personal information. If your child has forgotten their PIN or is having other difficulties, he or she should go to the PIN Information page to reset their PIN or contact the Registrar's Office in person or by phone.

My son/daughter received a letter indicating he/she is on probation or disqualification, what does this mean?

Probation and disqualification refers to academic standing of a student. Students on probation are allowed to continue registering for courses after they have completed and submitted their Academic Plan form to their dean. Students who have been placed on disqualification are not allowed to register for courses and should contact their academic dean for counseling.

My son/daughter's name should have been on the Dean's List, but it wasn't published in our newspaper. Why?

Dean's List status is calculated at a point-in-time after the semester is over. If your child did not meet the qualifications until after that point, the information probably did not get relayed to the University Communications Office for newspaper publication. If your child has more questions, he or she should contact the Registrar's Office.

If you have questions that have not been answered contact the Registrar's Office by phone (208) 885-6731 or by email registrar@uidaho.edu.
