Enter User ID..... This is your Vandal number (with a capital V).
Tab once or click in PIN box, enter your six-character PIN..... If you need assistance with your PIN, click the PIN Information link or contact the Registrar's Office at (208) 885-6731. Click on LOGIN button.
You should now be on the University of Idaho VandalWeb Main Menu. Depending upon your affiliation with the UI, you may see a combination of the following menus:
- Faculty & Advisor Menu
- Click on Student Menu folder
- Click on Advisor/Probation Hold Removal
- Select the appropriate semester from drop-down list and click Submit
- Select student from drop-down list or click on Enter Student ID Directly
- Click Submit/Remove Advisor Hold button
Note: Advisor holds may also be removed on the Advisee List from the main Faculty & Advisor Menu.
- Click on Faculty & Advisor Menu
- Click on Class List or Class List Summary
- Select the appropriate semester from the drop-down list and click Submit button
- Select the class from the drop-down list and click Submit button
- Click on Faculty & Advisor Menu
- Click on Class List
- Select the appropriate semester from the drop-down list and click Submit button
- Select the class from the drop-down list and click on Submit CRN button
- Click on DOWNLOAD THIS CLASS LIST (you can either open or save the file)
- Click on Faculty & Advisor Menu
- Click on Class List or Class List Summary
- Select the appropriate semester from the drop-down list and click Submit button
- Select the class from the drop-down list and click Submit button
- Click the Display Email List button
- Highlight the entire list of emails (click three times or left click at beginning and drag to end).
- Copy the highlighted text (right click and Copy option or Ctrl + c key).
- Using own email program-VandalMail, Outlook, Pegasus, etc.-start a new message and using the BCC (blind carbon copy) line, paste the email list (right click and Paste option or Ctrl + v key). Using the BCC will protect student email address from being publicly displayed to other recipients of the email. The "To" field is not required to contain data, but the user may opt to send a copy to themselves for their records.
*Multiple classes can be emailed at once by repeating the process of copying and pasting at the end of the first string. Attachments can be done normally through the selected email program.
- Click on Faculty & Advisor Menu
- Click on Grades Menu
- Click on Enter MIDTERM Grades or Enter FINAL Grades option
- Select the appropriate semester from the drop-down list and click Submit button
- Select class CRN from the drop-down list and click Submit button
- Enter student grades in the Grade box by either keying or using the drop-down selection
- Click Submit button at bottom of roster (often to save as you go)
- Only so many students are displayed on one page, to locate additional students make sure to click on the appropriate Record Sets option
- Click on Faculty & Advisor Menu
- Click on Grades Menu
- Click on Request Grade Correction or Submit Grade for Incomplete
- Select the appropriate semester from the drop-down list and click Submit Term button
- Select class from the drop-down list and click Submit CRN button
- Enter your birthdate (mmddyyyy) and click Enter
- Under the appropriate student, enter New Grade (key or drop-down list selection)
- Select the Reason for correction from the drop-down list
- Enter Comment if you wish (optional)
- Click Submit Grade Changes at bottom of roster
*Note: Grade corrections can only be requested for one year after grade is reported.
- Click on Faculty & Advisor Menu
- Click on Student Menu folder
- Click on View Student Transcript
- Select the appropriate semester from the drop-down list and click Submit button
- Select student's name from drop-down or click Enter Student ID Directly or Search for Student option and click Submit button
- Click Display Transcript button
- Click on Faculty & Advisor Menu
- Click on Student Menu folder
- Click on Degree Audit Report
- Select current semester and click Submit button
- Select student's name from drop-down or click Enter Student ID Directly or Search for Student option and click Submit button
- Select Report from the drop-down list and click Summary Report or Detail Report radio button
- Click Display Compliance Report button
Who has access to enter registration overrides for students?
Course instructors can enter overrides for their course offerings and department- and college-level VandalWeb users can enter overrides for courses in their college or department to allow students registration privileges.
What is a college or department level web user and how can I become one?
A department- or college-level VandalWeb user is given access to all courses offered through the department or college. Department or college level access also allows individuals to process registration overrides for all courses offered in their department or college. Either the department chair or college dean must sign to request access for their staff via a FacultyWeb Access Request sent to Chris Menter.
- Click on Faculty & Advisors Menu
- Click on Student Menu
- Click on Registration Overrides
- Select Term for overridefrom drop-down and click Submit button.
- Select Studentfrom drop-down or click Enter Student ID Directly or Search for Student option and click Submit button
- In the Override column, select the appropriate action for the registration restriction from the drop-down list:
- Advisor Perm Rqd for Enrl - to confirm advisor approval for enrollment; only students who are cleared can register for these controlled courses.
- Dept Permission Rqd for Enrl - to confirm departmental approval for enrollment; only students who are cleared can register for these controlled courses.
- Class (Fr,So,Jr,Sr) Restrction - to override the restriction that allows only a certain classification of student (freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior) to enroll in course.
- Co-requisite Override - to override the required co-requisite of a course to allow the individual student to register.
- Dean's Perm Rqd for Enrl - to confirm the dean's approval for enrollment; only students who are cleared can register for these controlled courses.
- Exceed Enrollment Limit - to override the maximum enrollment limit set on the course to allow individual student to register.
- Instructor Perm Rqd for Enrl - to confirm instructor approval for enrollment; only students who are cleared can register for these controlled courses.
- Major Restriction - to override the the restriction that allows only students in a specific major to enroll in course.
- Prerequisite Override - to override the prerequisites of course to allow individual student to register.
- Allow Enrlmnt from Wait List - to override wait list status to allow individual student to register.
- In the Course column, select appropriate course requiring override for registration.
- Click Submit button.
- Confirm override information is correct and click Submit button.
- Notify the student that he/she is now eligible to register for the course on VandalWeb.
